Tax Slabs (Old Regime):

  • For individuals below 60 years:
    • Up to ₹2,50,000: No tax
    • ₹2,50,001 to ₹5,00,000: 5%
    • ₹5,00,001 to ₹10,00,000: 20%
    • Above ₹10,00,000: 30%
  • For senior citizens (60-80 years):
    • Up to ₹3,00,000: No tax
    • ₹3,00,001 to ₹5,00,000: 5%
    • ₹5,00,001 to ₹10,00,000: 20%
    • Above ₹10,00,000: 30%
  • For super senior citizens (above 80 years):
    • Up to ₹5,00,000: No tax
    • ₹5,00,001 to ₹10,00,000: 20%
    • Above ₹10,00,000: 30%

Tax Slabs (New Regime):

  • Up to ₹4,00,000: No tax
  • ₹4,00,001 to ₹8,00,000: 5%
  • ₹8,00,001 to ₹12,00,000: 10%
  • ₹12,00,001 to ₹16,00,000: 15%
  • ₹16,00,001 to ₹20,00,000: 20%
  • ₹20,00,001 to ₹24,00,000: 25%
  • Above ₹24,00,000: 30%

Note: The New Tax Regime does not allow most exemptions and deductions, but offers lower tax rates and higher initial exemption limit.
